3rd Annual "A Soldier's Journey Home" Benefit - 15 August 2026

A Soldier's Journey Home

A Soldier's Journey Home

3rd Annual Benefit at Boyer Cellars

There are more than 3.3 million veterans who have served our country since 9/11. More than 80% have served in a combat theater of operations and 43% of veterans have disabilities as a result of their service.

A Soldier’s Journey Home was born in the aftermath of September 11, 2001, as a way for a group of New York firefighters to give back for the support they had received from around the country in the wake of the attacks.  They began by supporting a variety of disaster relief construction projects, were eventually joined by other firefighters from around the country, and have now devoted more than a decade to building mortgage-free homes specially adapted for veterans with disabilities.  ASJH is a 100% volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) comprised primarily of current and retired firefighters and veterans.

Each year we come together to build a home in only two weeks for a worthy veteran  Each build draws more than 100 volunteers from all over the nation who return year after year because of their belief in our mission.  We have built homes for disabled veterans in Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, Texas, Ohio, Maine, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Louisiana.
